(al-Khiyár)

According to the Shaafi'ee, Imámi and \anbalí schools if a waqif lays down a condition giving himself the option for a known period to either confirm the waqf or revoke it, the condition is void along with the waqf, because this condition is contrary to the spirit of the contract.

According to the \anafís both are valid (Fath. al-Qadlr, al-Mughn and al-Tadhkirah).
