In the last few years, an argument is being made that, for those who advocate for human rights, a world that is not dominated by a single power (USA) or bloc of states (West) might be better. To that, some will respond that a fragmented world where cultures that do not have a tradition of human rights respect have a say about human rights protection will weaken the world community's commitment to human rights.
