Islamic Declarations on Human Rights There are two documents produced by Muslim scholars and government offocials related to human rights: the Islamic Declarations of Human Rights, and The Cairo Declaration On Human Rights In Islam. Universal Islamic Declaration of Human Rights Universal Islamic Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the Islamic Council of Europe on 19 September 1981/21 Dhul Qaidah 1401.* This is a declaration for mankind, a guidance and instruction to those who fear God. (Al Qur’an, Al-Imran 3:138) Foreword Islam gave to mankind an ideal code of human rights fourteen centuries ago. These rights aim at conferring honour and dignity on mankind and eliminating exploitation, oppression and injustice.
